Starting tommorrow we’re on the move again!
This coming week I’m in Austria on the annual Google EMEA Engineering Conference and then the Ski Trip. Both of which are fairly action packed and tiring from what I can make out.
I get back to Dublin at 6pm on Friday evening. On Saturday morning at 9am Kat and I are back at Dublin Airport to begin our trek to New Zealand where we’ll stay for just over 2 weeks.
We’ll be spending most of our time in Tauranga, and Hamilton visiting our respective families in each location. We’ll be in Auckland on the 5th and 6th of May and then in Brisbane visiting Kat’s father from the 7th to the 10th.
After that, Kat is flying back to Dublin via Auckland, LA and London, arriving in Dublin at 3pm on Sunday the 11th in time for work on Monday morning. I’m staying on in Australia and flying down to Sydney to meet up with some colleagues and spend a couple of weeks working from our Sydney office. I get back to Dublin on the 24th of May.
In the midst of all this, the lease on our current apartment expires on the 18th of May and the landlord hasn’t yet decided whether they will let us renew it on a month-by-month basis for June and July. We don’t really want to stay in this apartment for another year, but we don’t want to move until June or July either! We’re hoping that we’ll hear some news this week.
I’m looking forward to getting back to New Zealand and catching up with everyone, it’s going to be a busy couple of weeks, among the most important things on my todo list are:
- Eat some Hell pizza
- Eat some Burger Fuel
- Attempt to soak up some of this stuff called “good weather” that seems to be missing from this part of the world
See you soon!
